Evergreen Dental in Dartmouth, NS is seeking a Dental Assistant for one-year maternity leave coverage. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, and manage chart updates while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will also handle scheduling, patient flow, and education on oral hygiene, partnering with a skilled team using modern technologies to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

• One (1) year maternity leave coverage
• Full time hours
• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

About You:
