Evergreen Dental in Dartmouth, NS, is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant for a one-year maternity leave coverage. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, take X-rays, sterilize instruments, update charts, and support scheduling in a busy family practice.

We offer a collaborative team, modern technology, and ongoing education. Applicants must be registered or certified with the provincial regulatory body and have prior dental assisting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.
• Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsabilités

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow privacy, safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships with ethical professional behavior.

Schedule:

• One (1) year maternity leave coverage
• Full time hours
• Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Your Role:
