Job summary

Redwood Dental Centre in Winnipeg is seeking a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist dentists and hygienists, greet patients, and help manage schedules and patient records.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the provincial regulatory body or association.
• Experience in dental assisting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials for procedures while ensuring a clean, safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Greet and assist patients on arrival and ensure a positive impression.
• Manage appointment scheduling to keep the day full with minimal gaps.
• Process patient records, recall communications and maintain charts and documentation.

Your Role:

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assistdentists and hygienists during treatments,maintainingpatient comfort and workflow.
• Greet and assist patients as they arrive; ensure a lasting positive impression for them.
• Responsible for optimizing the appointment schedule by ensuring the day is full, with limited gaps.
• Effectively manage recall system and accurately maintain patient database.
• Manage patient calls and inquiries about appointments, confirmations, amendments and cancellations.
• Process referral letters and other patient correspondence upon receipt from provider; manage and file all patient records and charts.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images asrequired.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships whilemaintainingethical professional behaviour.

About You:

• Registered and/orCertified as aDental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or associationisrequired.
• Previousdentalassistingexperience is preferred.
