Job summary

14th Avenue Dentistry in Markham, Ontario, is seeking a Registered/Certified Dental Assistant for a replacement position. The role requires assisting dentists and hygienists, preparing rooms, taking X-rays, and maintaining infection control.

We offer competitive pay ($23.00–$27.00/hour) with experience-based adjustments, and a supportive team focused on patient care and practice growth. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada and join our Recruitment Team for the process.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or certified as a Dental Assistant with the Provincial regulatory body.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Monday: 8:30 am - 7:00 pm

Tuesday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Wednesday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Thursday: 8:30 am - 7:00 pm

2 Saturdays a month: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$23.00 - $27.00/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
