Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide to support Vancouver-area clients in their homes. You will assist with ADLs, provide companionship, and work under the health care team.

Ideal candidates have an HCA certificate, BC Registry number, First Aid and CPR, and a valid driver’s license; a vehicle is a plus. The role offers paid training, flexible start dates, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number are required.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training.
• Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under health care team guidance.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, meals, toileting, and daily living activities.
• Support clients with ADLs and IADLs to maximize independence.
• Provide companionship and maintain a clean, safe home environment.
• Transport clients to appointments and outings as needed.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) available for the Vancouver area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
