Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car to serve Richmond and surrounding areas. This role focuses on providing compassionate in-home care and companionship to seniors and adults in need of support.

The team emphasizes teamwork, flexible start dates, and a client-first approach, with paid training and a friendly work environment. You will travel to client homes and assist with daily living activities as part of a caring team.

Qualifications

• Must have HCA certificate and BC registry number.
• First Aid and CPR certification is required.
• Genuine desire to help people and work with seniors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under the health care team.
• Observe and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and caregivers to maximize independence with ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with meal prep, shopping, and laundry.
• Motivate and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input in care planning with the health care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients in their vehicle to appointments and outings.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings

Job Requirements:

• Driver's License and own vehicle is a bonus

Our office serves seniors in Vancouver and surrounding communities, including Richmond, Langley, Surrey, Burnaby, etc. This position may require travel to those areas – we do our best to match you with clients in your area.
