Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide to support clients in the Greater Victoria area. You will work with the health care team to deliver in-home care and daily living assistance, focusing on safety, comfort, and independence.

The role requires graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant program, a valid driver’s license, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication. Flexible hours and 24/7 service are available to match client needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, willing to commute a bonus

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under health care team

Are you a strong team player and have a desire to help others? We are looking for a Registered Care Aide to join our team to work in the Victoria area.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client's presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings

Job Requirements:

• Successful graduation from a recognized Health Care Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience with BC Registry Number
• Have or be able to get a criminal record check
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and proficiently both verbally and in writing
• Ability to deal with others effectively and respectfully
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
• Ability to organize work
• Ability to operate related equipment
• Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle, willing to commute is a bonus!
• First Aid/CPR certificate
