Northern Health is seeking a Registered Care Aide for the North Haida Gwaii Hospital to support patients with day-to-day care and safety. The role requires current BC Care Aide Registry registration, completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant program, and ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

The position is based at North Haida Gwaii Hospital in Masset with rotating day shifts and a focus on compassionate, patient-centered care.

Position Summary

Days, 08:00 to 13:36 (ROTATING)

Qualfications

• Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience and registered with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
