Job summary

Monarch House in Calgary is seeking a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA/RBA) to assess, design, monitor, and supervise ABA interventions for children and youth with ASD and other developmental needs. You will primarily support clients in the ABA program.

This part-time, community-based role follows a 2:30 PM to 7:30 PM MT schedule, with a salary of $80,000 to $102,000 per year pro-rated for 25 hours weekly, offering mentorship, training, and opportunities across clinics.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field with ABA coursework.
  • BCBA certification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in ASD and/or Developmental Disabilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
  • Current police check for the vulnerable sector.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Assess client needs and caregiver priorities.
  • Develop, monitor, and supervise a behavior plan for each client, targeting skill acquisition and reduction of problem behaviour.
  • Conduct Functional Analyses.
  • Provide training and feedback for ABA Therapists and Lead Therapists.
  • Lead team meetings and collaborate with caregivers and other professionals.
  • Develop and update treatment plans.
  • Maintain knowledge of current evidence-based practices.
  • Supervise graduate students pursuing certification and other ABA students.
  • Supervise and mentor ABA Therapists and RBTs.

Job description

As a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA / RBA) at Monarch House you will be responsible for assessing, designing, monitoring, and supervising ABA interventions for children and youth with ASD, other developmental disabilities, or other learning and behaviour needs. You will be responsible primarily for clients in the ABA program.

Job Type: Part-time. Community-based in Calgary

Salary: $80,000.00-$102,000.00 per year (salary pro-rated to 25 hours of work/week)

Work schedule: Monday - Friday, between 2:30PM - 7:30PM MT

Responsibilities:

  • Assess client needs and caregiver priorities
  • Develop, monitor, and supervise a behavior plan for each client, targeting areas of skill acquisition and problem behaviour reduction
  • Conduct Functional Analyses
  • Provide training and regular feedback reviews for ABA Therapists and Lead Therapists
  • Lead team meetings and work collaboratively with caregivers and other professionals
  • Develop and update treatment plans as required
  • Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices
  • Supervise graduate students pursuing certification and other ABA students (e.g., BST/ABS), if appropriate
  • Supervise and mentor ABA Therapists and Registered Behaviour Technicians™ (RBT®)

Skills, Requirements, and Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience working in ASD and/or Developmental Disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Current police check for the vulnerable sector
  • Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field with ABA coursework
  • Certified as a BCBA™
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Experience with conducting Functional Analyses and functional behaviour assessments
  • Experience with using ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, and/or EFL assessment tools
  • Some evening and weekend hours may be required
