Job summary

Victoriaville & Co. is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused Sales Director to lead growth across Canada and the United States.

Reporting to the VP of Sales, the role oversees a field-based team of Account Managers and direct responsibility for select strategic accounts. This hands-on leadership position combines sales management, coaching, key account management, customer relationship development, and business growth.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of progressive sales experience with leadership, or 10+ years in funeral service leadership.
  • Proven revenue growth, team development, consultative selling, and strategic account management.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, business planning, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with direct customer engagement and hands‑on sales.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, CRM platforms, and sales reporting/analytics tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish sales priorities and executable plans to hit revenue, profitability, and market share goals.
  • Manage select strategic accounts and participate in key presentations, negotiations, and major sales opportunities.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with funeral home owners, operators, purchasing groups, and stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop new customers, partnerships, and market opportunities across Eastern Canada and the Northeastern U.S..
  • Monitor pipelines, forecasts, pricing strategies, and regional performance using CRM and analytics tools.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Product Development, and Executive leadership to deliver a superior customer experience.
  • Represent the company at customer meetings, industry associations, trade shows, conferences, and events.

Job description

Victoriaville & Co. is seeking a dynamic, customer-focused sales leader to drive profitable growth across Canada and the United States. Reporting to the Vice President, Sales and Customer Service, the Sales Director will lead and develop a team of Account Managers located throughout Eastern Canada and the Northeastern United States, while maintaining direct responsibility for select strategic accounts.

The Opportunity

This hands-on leadership role combines sales management, coaching, key account management, customer relationship development, and business growth. The successful candidate will spend a significant portion of their time in the field supporting Account Managers, meeting with customers, advancing key business opportunities, and representing Victoriaville & Co. throughout the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish sales priorities and implement actionable plans to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share objectives.

Qualifications

  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with direct customer engagement and hands‑on participation in sales activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365, CRM platforms, and sales reporting and analytics tools.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Canada and the United States, up to 60% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the funeral services industry and an established network throughout Eastern Canada and/or the Northeastern United States.
  • Bilingualism (French and English). Daily communication in English with customers and employees is required.
  • Experience managing major accounts, purchasing groups, or multi‑location customers.
  • Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Funeral service qualifications are considered an asset.
