Job summary

HOOPP is seeking a Regional Services professional to educate and support a block of employers and their employees. You will communicate HOOPP values, provide training, and ensure compliance with plan administration and legislation. Travel across Ontario and occasional after-hours work are required.

You will present to employers and members, tailor education to diverse audiences, and build strong relationships to promote HOOPP’s retirement security for Ontario healthcare workers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with pension plans, preferably defined benefit multi-employer plans.
• Solid understanding of pension regulatory concepts.
• Previous experience assessing and managing compliance outcomes is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver presentations in a variety of settings and to respond to questions.
• Superior client service and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain HOOPP and other pension terminology in plain language.
• Good written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Plan’s primary contact with a block of participating employers.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with each assigned employer (virtual/in-person).
• Provide ongoing contact to understand employer needs and deliver education and training on HOOPP value and administration.
• Ensure employers understand their responsibilities and monitor compliance with the Plan and governing legislation.
• Resolve administrative issues and collaborate across HOOPP to resolve them.
• Provide guidance on pension impacts of restructurings (amalgamations, transfers, acquisitions).
• Collect and report feedback from employers and employees about HOOPP.
