Qualifications

• 15+ years of mine waste dump and stockpile engineering experience across diverse terrains and project scales.
• Strong understanding of Canadian mining operations, particularly in BC, Alberta, the Prairies, and Northern regions.
• Professional engineering designation (P.Eng) with eligibility for registration in applicable provinces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical vision for mine waste dump and stockpile engineering across varied geological environments.
• Drive innovation in design, operations, monitoring, and closure planning for mine waste facilities.
• Mentor and develop emerging engineers into confident technical leaders.
• Strengthen relationships with major mining clients and industry partners across BC, Alberta, the Prairies, and Northern Canada.
• Represent WSP as a thought leader at conferences, technical committees, and industry forums.
• Author and contribute to internal practice guidance and external technical publications.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, sustainable, and future-ready solutions.
