Job summary

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a Regional Fleet Lead to oversee fleet requirements across designated regions in Canada. You will implement best practices for equipment and vehicle management, lead maintenance teams, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.

You will monitor fleet utilization, coordinate repairs, and optimize cost-efficiency while upholding Forbes Bros.’ commitment to safety and reliability across all fleet activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in vehicle fleet management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in supervision.
• Knowledge of emerging fleet management technologies and best practices.
• Experience leading a maintenance team and scheduling.
• Strong knowledge of Federal and Provincial/State regulations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations to meet equipment requirements and align resources with project schedules.
• Monitor fleet utilization and maintain up-to-date equipment inventories.
• Lead maintenance team in timely repairs and preventive servicing to minimize downtime.
• Audit daily pre-trip inspections to ensure safety standards.
• Analyze vehicle data and recommend replacements or upgrades for reliability and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure shops/yards comply with OHSA/OH&S standards and maintain a safe work environment.
• Maintain familiarity with FMCSA/DOT regulations.
• Coordinate logistics and manage costs moving vehicles between sites and yards.
• Oversee vendor performance and review pricing for competitiveness.
• Oversee regional Tool Lead/Tool Coordinator and inventory compliance.
• Uphold Forbes Bros. policies and values in daily operations.
