Job summary

Metrolinx in Toronto is seeking a Senior Director to lead Customer Protection Services, safeguarding customers, staff and assets while protecting revenue across GO Transit and UP Express.

You will partner with the CPS Director to develop policies, oversee training, coordinate with police and security partners, build cross‑functional teams, and drive change in a large public safety operation in a dynamic transportation environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or combination of education, training and experience.
• Progressive experience leading leaders in public safety operations.
• Ability to obtain Special Constable Status and Secret Clearance.
• Ontario Class G driver's license is required.
• Experience with transformational change, risk management and planning.
• Knowledge of policy development, budget control and project management methods.

Responsibilities

• Leads Duty Managers and ensures CPS staff coordination with stakeholders to deliver CPS mandates.
• Establishes partnerships with external safety authorities to protect property and people.
• Develops and implements CPS policies aligned with directives and regulations.
• Directs a diverse team of CPS personnel and liaises with police and security agencies.
• Represents Metrolinx in regulatory discussions to support innovation and safety.
• Builds trust with leadership and stakeholders to drive resources and project outcomes.
• Drives change management, safety culture, and continuous improvement across CPS operations.
