Maintenance Operator - Delta

$42.50-$44 per hour

The Role

Our client is a reputable company and they are currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Operator for their Delta facility. The Maintenance Operator will be responsible for general maintenance and system checks of the ammonia refrigeration equipment. This position offers night shifts.

Responsibilities

1. Performing scheduled and unscheduled testing and maintenance.
2. Conducting preventative maintenance on facility systems, including refrigeration equipment, warehouse and facility equipment, building automation, plumbing, and painting.
3. Monitoring refrigeration equipment for temperature readings, defrost setups, and alarms, while maintaining documentation and overseeing ammonia plant operations.
4. Inputting data into work order systems.
5. Working with contractors and maintaining health and safety regulations.
6. Maintaining a safe plant in mechanically sound condition meeting Provincial and local guidelines.
7. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1. Refrigeration Operator or 4th Class Power Engineer ticket.
2. 4+ years of carrying out preventative maintenance and troubleshooting experience.
3. Experience working with refrigeration and ammonia systems is an asset.
4. Mechanically inclined with some experience in plumbing; welding is an asset.
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
6. Flexibility to work night shifts.

1. $42.50-$44 per hour.
