Job summary

Reeves Construction Company in Duncan, SC seeks an Asphalt Steel Wheel Roller Operator. The ideal candidate will safely operate a roller for compaction of asphalt and dirt on road and commercial projects, and assist in general site operations.

Candidates must understand machine control levers, perform inspections, maintain cleanliness, and uphold safety and welfare of workers. Duties emphasize following company policies and ensuring equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of machine mechanics and hydraulics.
• Ability to inspect equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and good housekeeping.

Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Asphalt Steel Wheel Roller Operator in Duncan, SC. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively run a roller for the compaction of asphalt and/or dirt and other materials for road and commercial construction. Asphalt Roller Operators are also expected to assist in the general operation of each job site.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Must have a basic knowledge of the mechanics and hydraulics of the machine.
• Must have skills to conduct an inspection checklist on equipment such as tracks, lights, brakes, fuel, oil and water.
• Must keep equipment clean, lubricated, and in good working order, including good housekeeping.
• Must have an understanding of control levers for movement of the machine.

• Must have the ability to operate the vehicle safely in job site situations and follow the policies and procedures of the company.

Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED (preferred), but not necessarily required.
• Minimum of 1-3 months of work-related experience and/or training.
• Must be able to work day or night shifts.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Provide own transportation to and from work.
• Driving License (preferred).
• Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.
