Professional Excavators & Construction Inc. is seeking a Breakdown Roller Operator to efficiently compact asphalt and earthworks on road projects across Calgary, Alberta. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and on-site teamwork.

With a minimum of 2 years' experience and the ability to read project plans, you will contribute to high-quality surface finishes while adhering to project requirements in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating breakdown rollers or similar heavy equipment in a construction environment
• Eligible to work in Canada
• Strong understanding of compaction processes and road construction techniques is preferred
• Valid Class 3 Driver's License with a clean driving record is preferred
• Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications is preferred
• Willingness to work in varying weather conditions is preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate breakdown rollers to compact asphalt and other materials during road construction and paving activities
• Ensure that compaction procedures are followed correctly to achieve the desired material density and surface quality
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Monitor job site conditions and notify supervisors of any issues that may affect work progress or quality
• Collaborate with other team members to facilitate efficient workflow and communication on site
• Document daily activities, including compaction reports and equipment performance, to maintain accurate records
