Job summary

Amrize Canada is seeking a ticketed Red Seal Millwright to maintain, improve, and optimize mechanical operations for our two asphalt plants in Langley and Richmond. You will collaborate with the maintenance team to service equipment, proactively prevent breakdowns, and minimize downtime.

This role demands 2–5 years of heavy industrial maintenance experience, a Red Seal certification (or active apprenticeship), and a Class 5 driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Electrical aptitude or welding training.
• Field of Study: Industrial Mechanic, Millwright, or related trades program.
• 2–5 years of maintenance experience in heavy industrial, aggregate, cement or asphalt environments.
• Journeyperson / Red Seal Certification as Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), OR active Apprentice; Class 5 Driver’s License required.
• Proficiency in heavy mechanical systems, combustion systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and fabrication.
• 0% overnight travel; daily local travel between Langley and Richmond plants.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance on heavy industrial asphalt equipment to maximize uptime.
• Service and repair pugmills, burners, drums, silos, and baghouse dust collectors.
• Maintain and repair conveyors, screens, gearboxes, crushers.
• Perform mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication, and rigging to replace worn components.
• Respond to breakdowns during nights and weekends to restore operations.
• Troubleshoot and identify root causes; implement long-term solutions.
• Keep PM software/CMMS maintenance records and equipment history.
• Service both Langley and Richmond plants as required.
• Comply with health, safety and environmental policies at all times.
