Qualifications

• Verified Millwright certification (Red Seal) is required or equivalent.
• Boiler ticket would be an asset.
• Experience with automation is an asset.
• Minimum 2–5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Able to work unsupervised.
• Strong mechanical abilities; welding experience a plus.
• Able to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Able to endure physical labor and shift work (24/7).
• Able to identify opportunities for improvement; strong teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe work practices and safe operation of vehicles, tools and equipment.
• Lead and assist in construction, installation, repair and maintenance of plant and equipment.
• Clean and organize shop and plant areas.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems; record servicing.
• Perform welding and fabrication as needed.
• Operate forklifts and skid steers for maintenance tasks.
• Document repairs and maintain parts inventory.
• Pursue improvement opportunities and maintain high attendance.

Summary

The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for installation and maintaining, repair and maintenance of plant equipment, systems, and buildings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform safe work practices as well as safe operation of vehicles, power tools and equipment
• Lead and assist in the construction, installation, repair and maintenance of plant and equipment
• Clean and organize shop and other areas of the plant
• Trouble shoot and problem solve
• Perform welding and fabricating
• Perform basic repairs on forklifts and skid steers
• Check forms of communication daily regarding repairs needed
• Record and document all servicing
• Keep an inventory of parts necessary to perform duties
• Increase knowledge of operating systems
• Sustain 3.5% or less absenteeism
• Perform other work related duties as assigned
