About This Role

Carrier Commercial Service is accepting applications for a Red Seal Journeyperson to work with the Vancouver, BC Service Team, supporting HVACR service in Commercial and Industrial buildings.

The successful candidate should have HVAC/R system experience, proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to support both light and heavy HVAC service segments. We seek a team player capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines and customer commitments, with excellent time management and organizational skills.

As a Red Seal Journeyperson, you will work on-site at various customer locations within the UA516 Union jurisdiction. Membership in the UA516 Union is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

1. Establish and maintain positive customer relations.
2. Provide maintenance and repair for Chillers, HVAC, and Refrigeration Equipment.
3. Support centrifugal and scroll equipment, controls, and VSD systems.
4. Participate in startup and warranty activities for Carrier Factory (OEM) services.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems, developing preventative solutions.
6. Estimate and quote repairs and upgrades to extend equipment lifespan and improve energy efficiency.
7. Follow Environment, Health, and Safety Policies and Procedures.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School Diploma or GED.
2. Red Seal Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic / Certified Journeyman HVACR Technician.
3. 5+ years of HVAC technician experience.
4. Gas B Ticket.
5. Licensed Refrigeration Mechanic (ODP).
6. Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Proficiency with MS Office, laptops, and handheld devices.
2. Strong communication skills, verbal and written in English.
3. Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude.
4. Interest in working with Chillers and HVAC/Refrigeration Equipment.
5. Customer-focused attitude.
