Located on the North Shore of Burrard Inlet in the Port of Vancouver, B.C., G3 Terminal Vancouver is the new standard for grain export facilities. Job Title: Electrician

Location: G3 Terminal Vancouver, North Vancouver B.C.

We are looking for motivated Red-Seal qualified Electricians to join our maintenance team. Following safe operating and maintenance guidelines, this position is accountable to the Maintenance Manager, Director of Maintenance or designate.

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

1. Holding safety as paramount, conduct maintenance activities while mitigating and reporting immediate safety hazards to superiors.
2. Participate in training, daily toolbox talks and job hazard assessment reviews;
3. Apply and adhere to Lock-Out-Tag-Out equipment isolation protocols;
4. Work as directed on plant infrastructure and materials handling systems which may include:
1. Belt Conveyors (Enclosed, Air Supported and Conventional)
2. Bucket elevators
3. Screw conveyors
4. Dust collection systems
5. Grain cleaning equipment
6. Drag conveyors
7. Pneumatic conveyors
8. Fans
5. Electrical and control systems;
6. Do quality work and adhere to terminal housekeeping and food safety requirements;
7. Enter performed work details and findings into work order system as required;
8. Utilization of a mobile CMMS user interface;
9. Perform duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager or designate.

Core Competencies:

• Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, quality of work, troubleshooting ability and exceptional safety record.
• Capable of working responsibly with minimal supervision at times.
• Demonstrated computer aptitude in a mobile device environment and use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Ability to work effectively under time constraints.

Qualifications:

• Interprovincial Red Seal Journeyperson Qualification for Electrician
• Experience on electrical systems
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
