Job summary

Windsor Salt is seeking a Red Seal certified Heavy Duty Technician/Truck and Transport mechanic to inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair underground and surface mobile equipment at our Pugwash site. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance, document activities, and uphold safety standards in a mining environment.

The role requires experience with heavy mobile equipment, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to work in underground conditions with varying temperatures.

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Red Seal certification for heavy duty equipment or truck and transport mechanic.
• Experience maintaining heavy mobile equipment, preferably in mining.
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in underground mining conditions, including confined spaces and varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair underground/surface mobile equipment to ensure safe operations.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on loaders, haul trucks, drills, utility vehicles, and other mining equipment.
• Complete maintenance documentation and follow safety and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to maximize equipment availability and minimize downtime.
