Job summary

Access industrial is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic or Welder to join our embedded staffing team. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect and service light mobile equipment at client sites, and diagnose issues to match customer needs in mining environments.

Ideal candidates hold a Heavy Equipment Technician diploma or equivalent, are certified welders, bilingual in English and French, and have at least 3 years of licensed trades experience in mining. REDSEAL or CWB are an asset.

Qualifications

• Heavy Equipment technician diploma or equivalent practical experience.
• Cerified Welder;
• Bilingual (English and French);
• Good physical condition;
• Organised and autonomous;
• Experience Required : Minimum 3 years as licensed tradesperson in the mining industry;
• REDSEAL (an asset);
• CWB certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and develop maintenance procedures for all equipment.
• Check, inspect, and maintain light mobile equipment at the customer's site.
• Diagnose problems and determine the nature of surface or underground equipment according to customer needs.
• Prepare a complete repair report identifying the cause of the breakdowns and problems encountered.
• Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and that repairs meet requirements.
• Read plans, diagrams, and schematics to determine how to proceed.
• Comply with all safety standards and pay particular attention to the processes and quality and operational standards of our mining partner.
