Sandvik Mining is seeking a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic to service surface mining equipment across Saskatchewan and surrounding areas. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, with commissioning at customer sites and training responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• 3+ years mining equipment experience is an asset.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues on mining equipment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for proper performance and faults.
• Adjust and repair/replace defective parts per scope of work.
• Test repaired equipment for proper operation.
• Commission new equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate time records, reports and parts lists.
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices.
• Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
