Access industrial is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic or Welder to join our embedded staffing team in Canada. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, on-site inspections, fault diagnosis, repairs, and reporting for heavy equipment in mining settings.

Ideal candidates hold a Heavy Equipment Technician diploma or equivalent, a Red Seal is an asset, and bilingual English/French. Expect a fast-paced, safety-first environment with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment technician diploma or equivalent practical experience.
• Cerified Welder.
• Bilingual (English and French).
• Good physical condition; organized and autonomous.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and develop maintenance procedures for all equipment.
• Check, inspect, and maintain light mobile equipment at the customer's site.
• Diagnose problems and determine the nature of surface or underground equipment according to customer needs.
• Prepare a complete repair report identifying the cause of the breakdowns and problems encountered.
• Adjust, repair, and/or replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure that it is functioning properly and that repairs meet requirements.
• Read plans, diagrams, and schematics to determine how to proceed.
• Comply with all safety standards and quality and operational standards of our mining partner.
