Job summary

Sandvik AB is seeking a licensed Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic for field service across Saskatchewan and surrounding areas. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain surface mining equipment, and participate in commissioning and training at customer sites.

The role offers paid training, a company vehicle where assigned, a pension plan with matching, and comprehensive benefits. You must be willing to travel and hold a valid Canadian driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years related experience with mining equipment is an asset.
• Excellent ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Canada.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment for proper performance and faults.
• Adjust equipment and replace defective parts as required.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure operation.
• Commission new equipment and support onboarding.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Complete accurate time records, reports, and parts lists.
• Stay updated with industry trends and product development.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
