Sandvik AB is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Mechanics to join its mining service team in Alberta and British Columbia. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of surface mining equipment, with a 14/14 FIFO rotation and strong safety standards.

The ideal candidates are Red Seal certified (asset), have diagnostic skills, and are prepared to work across Canadian mine sites. Excellent communication skills and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification preferred or asset.
• 3+ years of mining equipment experience.
• Willing to travel to Canadian mine sites.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

What You’ll Need

• Relevant trade certification (Red Seal is an asset)
• At least 3 years of related experience with mining equipment (asset)
• Common Core training (asset)
• Proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical issues
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to mine sites and across Canada
• Ability and willingness to work varied shifts
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
