Job summary

Sandvik AB is seeking a licensed Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic (Field Service Technician) to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mining equipment on surface and underground sites in Western Canada. The role includes commissioning new equipment and customer-site training.

Qualifications

• Red Seal certification is preferred and valuable at many sites.
• Minimum 3 years of related heavy equipment experience.
• Experience with mining equipment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment and determine faults and malfunctions.
• Adjust and repair/replace defective parts and systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper operation.
• Commission new equipment at customer sites.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate time records, technical reports, and parts lists.
• Stay current with industry and product developments.
