Job summary

Emterra Group in Ontario, Peterborough, is seeking a Driver/Loader to operate waste collection and recycling vehicles, load curbside materials, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections according to company policies. You will deliver excellent customer service, maintain safety, and ensure routes are completed on time.

Requires a DZ license with a clean abstract, ability to lift 50 lbs, and pass drug/alcohol testing with a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
• Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence OR an AZ MELT graduate from an accredited driving school.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs; pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required; successful completion of a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate waste collection/recycling vehicle.
• Load curbside materials into the truck.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
