Job summary

Cascades in Ottawa is hiring a Recycling Sorter- EG to be on the factory floor, sorting and grading recycled materials to departmental standards. We value safety, hands-on teamwork, initiative and a readiness to learn; training is provided and full-time hours across multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Sort and grade recycled materials on the production floor.
• Perform housekeeping, equipment and yard tasks as needed.

What you’ll do

As a Recycling Sorter- EG, you’ll be at the heart of operations - right on the floor where materials take shape. Your day-to-day:

• Perform other duties as laid out by the Department Lead Hand e.g. housekeeping, equipment and yard cleaning, Schaeffer washing, snow removal, assisting truck drivers, etc.
• To safely and efficiently perform sorting, grading and placement of recycled materials in their appropriate areas according to the specific Departments’ requirements and production standards
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
• Support the team and pitch in on various tasks as needed
