Job summary

Emterra Group is seeking a sorter/labourer for our Regina, SK location. The role involves sorting recyclable materials and assisting with overall yard operations to ensure efficient processing and diversion of waste.

You will work in a safety-focused environment, handling repetitive physical tasks and contributing to a clean, organized site with adherence to PPE and company policies.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal skills to communicate, understand and respond to questions, instructions, signs, signals and safety training.
• Excellent teamwork skills.
• Must be able to perform repetitive/physical tasks for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb.
• Must be able to work shifts as required.
• Must be able to work overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Sort recyclable materials and assist with yard operations.
• Remove unacceptable materials from recycling streams.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.
• Operate and clean equipment as directed.
• Follow company policies and safety procedures.
• Report any system problems to the Supervisor promptly.
• Assist with general housekeeping of the plant and yard.
• Support continuous improvement and teamwork across shifts.

Position Description

Emterra is currently seeking for a sorter/labourer to join our team at our Regina, SK location. This position is responsible for sorting recyclable materials and assisting with the overall operation of the yard. The sorter/labourer is responsible to ensure unacceptable materials are removed from recycling or to be re-directed.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform duties in a safe manner in compliance with all Company policies;
• Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) equipment is utilized;
• Inspect materials and sort items or materials into designated areas;
• Pull contaminants from sorting line;
• Perform cleaning duties related to plant equipment and general housekeeping;
• Report system problems immediately to Supervisor;
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and surrounding area;
• Maintain an excellent attendance record and an excellent safety and work quality record.

Skills & Qualifications
