Job summary

Cascades Recovery+ is seeking workers for a permanent, full-time position at our Prince George, BC facility. The role involves operating in a paper recycling environment, performing pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading materials, and sorting recyclables with attention to safety and efficiency.

Qualifications include a minimum of three months experience, ability to lift 50 pounds, and good manual dexterity.

  • Complete and submit an equipment pre-trip inspection form.
  • Report any defects which may jeopardize the safe operation of the equipment.
  • Unload and load recyclable materials from different vehicle types such as tractor trailers, five tons, roll off trucks & containers.
  • Sorting and/or preparing recyclable materials to be shipped involving: Physically separating paper/fiber from plastics or non-recyclables; Weighing, recording & scanning bagged or palletized material; Pushing or dumping recyclable materials onto the baler belt, into silos, or into bunkers; Stacking and staging.

Language required : English

Type of position : Permanent, full time (40 hours per week)

Offered salary : 25,87$/h

  • General housekeeping in the plant, yard and common areas.
  • Perform other duties as required and instructed by the plant supervisor

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) months of job experience in a similar role
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must have excellent manual dexterity.
  • Will perform duties that require repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Will be required to bend, kneel and climb stairs.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Will be exposed to seasonal weather conditions due to working in a warehouse environment.
