Job summary

MatchBox Consulting Group, headquartered in Vancouver, BC, is seeking a recruiter to join our IT & technology team. You’ll engage with candidates in person, over the phone, and via video to connect top IT talent with exciting opportunities across Canada.

You’ll work with clients ranging from startups to provincial government and global brands, manage high-volume candidate pipelines, and deliver outstanding service.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in recruitment or IT/tech role.
• Exceptional written and spoken communication.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience managing a high volume of candidates through multiple stages.
• Strong organizational and detail-oriented work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Attract IT candidates and match them to client roles.
• Understand client companies' industries and cultures.
• Use social media to advertise positions and build candidate relationships.
• Head-hunt suitable candidates.
• Brief candidates on responsibilities, salary, and benefits.
• Prepare CVs and presentations for clients.
• Coordinate interviews across in-person, phone, and video formats.

As a recruiter at MatchBox, you’ll play an important role in connecting top IT & Technology talent with exciting opportunities, driving success for both candidates and clients. You’ll actively engage with candidates in person, over the phone, and via video, building potential and create lasting impression providing an excellent service. You will work with exciting clients - from high-impact tech stat-ups, scale-ups, to provincial government organizations, and large globally known brands in IT & Technology space.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Attracting IT candidates and matching them to positions with client companies through in-person meetings, phone calls, and video interviews.
• Developing a strong understanding of client companies, including their industry, operations, and workplace culture.
• Using social media to advertise positions, attract candidates, and build relationships with both candidates and employers.
• Headhunting - identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be employed.
• Briefing candidates on responsibilities, salary, and benefits for open roles.
• Preparing CVs and correspondence to present suitable candidates to clients.
• Organizing interviews for candidates as requested by the client, leveraging in-person, phone, and video formats.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a recruitment or related IT & technology role.
• Exceptional communication skills – written and oral, with experience engaging with candidates in person, over the phone, and via video.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing a high volume of candidates through various recruitment stages.
• Strong attention to detail with a diligent and persistent work ethic.
• Superb organizational skills to balance multiple priorities effectively.
