Job summary

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is seeking a Recreation Attendant (Supervisor) to lead guests through kayaking, boating, biking and nature experiences in the Canadian Rockies. You will supervise activities, coordinate with the Recreation Manager, and ensure safety and exceptional guest service.

This role requires a year of supervisory experience, First Aid/CPR, and a PCO card, with opportunities to create memorable experiences for conferences and group packages. Join our luxury team today.

Qualifications

  • Experience with outdoor activities: kayaking, canoeing, biking and hiking.
  • Experience with children.
  • Minimum 1-year supervisory experience.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Pleasure Craft Operators Card.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to focus on guest needs, stay calm and courteous.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services.
  • Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of Pool, Kids, and Games Rooms, Health Club, Recreation areas including Tennis Courts, Outdoor Activity Centre, Change Rooms, and the Boathouse.
  • Assist with special events and activities as required including organizing waivers.
  • Responsible for float and management of all revenues during shift from rentals of equipment and sales of merchandise.
  • Conduct and enhance departmental orientation and training for all new Recreation Colleagues.
  • Assist with planning, organizing and leading children’s programs and Kids Camp for conference, and hotel package groups.
  • Assist with weekly Departmental audits.
  • Submit weekly month end inventory counts.
  • Assist with familiarizing guests and colleagues to the Recreation facilities.
  • Conduct History tours, nature walks, hikes, bike rides, and boat tours as necessary.
  • Process guest checks in a timely and efficient manner.
