Job summary

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge invites you to join as an Overnight Front Office Supervisor, leading a guest-focused team in our luxury setting. You will deliver sincere, personalized service and guide staff to turn moments into memories, ensuring outstanding guest experiences in a stunning Canadian Rockies environment.

You will report to the Front Office Manager and oversee service standards, training, and recognition while balancing front desk operations, charges, and room assignments to uphold

Qualifications

  • Strong guest service experience is required.
  • Knowledge of a Property Management System is required.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Valid Canadian Driver’s Licence is required.
  • Experience with a hotel loyalty program is an asset.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and guest requests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills.
  • Organized, flexible and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently offering professional, friendly and engaging service.
  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
  • Ensure guest inquiries and complaints are handled with appropriate action.
  • Balance all room charges including F&B, Health Club, Spa, Golf Course, Concierge and Concessionaires.
  • Audit and post balance room and tax, review daily rebates for accuracy.
  • Perform end-of-day duties for F&B POS and front desk systems.
  • Ensure guest billing is accurate for Groups, Tour, FITs, and Individuals.
  • Communicate in-house groups clearly to staff and ensure SAQ standards are met.

As Overnight Front Office Supervisor, you will provide engaging, sincere, personalized service in order to turn special moments into memories atFairmont Jasper Park Lodge.Showcaseyour interpersonal strengths as Front Office Supervisor, where you will lead, train and recognize your team in support of exceptional guest service!

What you will be doing:

Reporting to the FrontOfficeManager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Consistently offeringprofessional,friendlyand engaging service
  • Followingdepartmental policies,proceduresand service standards
  • Ensuringguest inquiries and complaints are handled andappropriate actionistaken
  • Balancingall room charges including F&B, Health Club, Spa, Golf Course, Concierge and Concessionaires
  • Balancingall front office credit card transactions
  • Auditingand posting/balancingroom & tax
  • Reviewingdaily rebates for accuracy
  • Performingend of day duties for F&B point of sales system and therooms’property management system.
  • Ensuringall guest billing isaccuratefor Groups, Tour, FIT’s, & Individuals
  • Havinga strong knowledge of all groups in house and effectively communicatingthem to staff
  • Having a strong understanding ofSAQ Standardsfor the front office andensuringall SAQreports are completedin a timely manner.
  • Maintaining fullunderstanding of emergency procedures, including FirePanel
  • Working with all hotel departments to ensure guest bills areaccurateupon departure
  • Manage guest rooms assignment and blocking
  • Support Company and Hotel policies and proceduresincluding promotingand participation in Colleague Engagement Survey (CES),Fairmont Standards which include LQA,and Voice of the Guest (VOG) initiatives
  • Adhere to all LQA standards set up for the department
  • Adhering to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Valid Canadian Driver’s Licence
  • Strong guest serviceexperiencerequired
  • Knowledge of Property Management Systemrequired
  • Experience with a Hotel loyalty program an asset
  • Must have the ability to handle a multitude of tasks and guest requests
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • Fluency in English
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
