The United Counties of Leeds and Grenville invite applications for a Recreation Aide PFT at Maple View Lodge in Athens, Ontario. This permanent full-time role reports to the Resident Services Supervisor and focuses on planning and delivering meaningful on-site and occasional off-site recreational activities for residents.

Candidates should have a post-secondary diploma or certification in recreation and leisure studies or related field, CPR/First Aid, and at least two years of experience in

• Post-secondary diploma or certification in recreation and leisure studies or related field as per LTC act.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Two years’ experience in long term care or with elderly population.
• Experience developing and implementing recreation programming.
• Experience reporting resident responses and behaviors in writing and verbally.
• Best Practice Champion or quality initiatives experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Implements pre-planned recreational programs on site and occasionally off site for residents.
• Plans activities to support physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and social well-being.
• Reports resident responses, reactions and behaviors through written and oral communications.
