Job summary

AgeCare in Ontario is seeking a Recreation Team Member to facilitate planned and spontaneous activities that help residents maintain skills, foster engagement, and promote wellbeing, purpose, creativity, and lifelong learning.

You will build relationships to learn each resident’s interests, develop and lead activities across wellness dimensions, and collaborate with families and the community to enhance engagement opportunities. Experience with seniors is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation or other related field, or current enrollment in one of these programs with an expected graduation date within the next three years
• A passion for working with seniors and a desire to improve their lives through meaningful engagement
• Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
• Provincial certification for safe food handling
• Related experience, preferably in Long Term Care
• Current First Aid Certificate will be an asset

Salary Range: $24.08 - $24.46 per hour
