Under the direction of the Manager, the Recovery Coach provides individualized, recovery-oriented support to residents of Terrace Heights Supportive Housing. The Recovery Coach works alongside residents to strengthen recovery capital, maintain housing stability, build independence, and develop the skills, relationships, and community connections that support long-term recovery and wellbeing.
Using a trauma-informed, person-centred and recovery-oriented approach, the Recovery Coach builds trusting relationships with residents, promotes hope and personal growth, and supports residents in identifying and working toward meaningful recovery goals. The position encourages participation in recovery-focused activities, healthy routines, community involvement, and connections to resources and supports that contribute to a meaningful and fulfilling life.
