Receptionist - Burnaby Physiotherapy And Hand Therapy - pt Health

Burnaby Physiotherapy And Hand Therapy - pt Health, a division of Lifemark Health Group, is looking for a Receptionist / Care Coordinator to join our clinic in Burnaby.

The Receptionist / Care Coordinator is responsible for fostering a strong relationship between the clinic and its customers, including patients, staff, funders, and referral sources. This is achieved by efficiently providing administrative support and coordinating clinic activities with friendly, enthusiastic, and professional service to all patients, team members, and external customers.

The Receptionist handles all aspects of patient intake, data entry, answering phones, outbound calling, receiving faxes and emails, coordinating referrals, as well as invoicing and payments.

Location: 5050 Kingsway, Burnaby, BC, V5H 4C2

Employment Type: Full-time

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Answer telephone calls, greet patients and visitors upon arrival, and provide excellent customer service for all questions or concerns.
  2. Coordinate referrals for WorkSafe, LTD, and ICBC clients.
  3. Coordinate detailed and accurate intake of information during the patient's first visit and throughout their treatment plan.
  4. Assist patients with completing paperwork at the clinic to ensure accuracy.
  5. Schedule patient appointments and maintain medical records.
  6. Collect payment at the time of service.
  7. Track coverage for all funding streams to ensure approval.
  8. Complete data entry and billing.
  9. Coordinate courier packages and process incoming and outgoing emails, mail, and faxes.
  10. Provide administrative support to the Care Coordinator Manager and Clinic Director.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

  1. High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
  2. Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette.
  3. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multitask.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Strong computer and data entry skills.
  6. Flexible and adaptable to change.
  7. Minimum 2 years of experience working in a physiotherapy clinic is preferred.
  8. Ability to work on a flexible schedule.
