Receptionist - Burnaby Physiotherapy And Hand Therapy - pt Health

Location: Burnaby, BC

Burnaby Physiotherapy And Hand Therapy - pt Health, a division of Lifemark Health Group, is seeking a Receptionist/Care Coordinator to join our clinic in Burnaby.

The Receptionist/Care Coordinator is responsible for fostering strong relationships between the clinic and its clients, including patients, staff, funders, and referral sources. This is achieved by providing efficient administrative support and coordinating clinic activities with friendly, enthusiastic, and professional service to all patients, team members, and external customers.

The Receptionist handles all aspects of patient intake, data entry, answering phones, outbound calling, receiving faxes and emails, coordinating referrals, as well as invoicing and payments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Answer telephone calls, greet patients and visitors, and provide excellent customer service.
  2. Coordinate referrals for WorkSafe, LTD, and ICBC clients.
  3. Manage detailed and accurate patient intake during initial visits and throughout treatment.
  4. Assist patients with paperwork to ensure accuracy.
  5. Schedule appointments and maintain medical records.
  6. Collect payments at the time of service.
  7. Track coverage for all funding streams to ensure approvals.
  8. Complete data entry and billing tasks.
  9. Coordinate courier services and process incoming/outgoing emails, mail, and faxes.
  10. Provide administrative support to the Care Coordinator Manager and Clinic Director.

Qualifications & Core Competencies:

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer and data entry skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of experience in a physiotherapy clinic.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
