Job description

It's an exciting opportunity to join Golden Life as we expand our seniors housing, care, and services within western Canada.

We are seeking a qualified, casual Receptionist/Admin Assistant to join our Evanston Grand Village team in Calgary, AB. If you are a strong team player, we would love to hear from you!

The successful candidate will have relevant experience and a passion for providing high-quality care and support for seniors. The receptionist will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service to residents, their families, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcomes visitors in person or on the telephone; answers or refers inquiries appropriately.
  • Engages with all individuals entering the building, such as visitors, employees, and contractors, to ensure their attendance is necessary and that non-essential visitors understand entrance restrictions. Uses provided scripts and documentation to ask self-assessment questions.
  • Coordinates the inbound and outbound delivery of mail.
  • Maintains a safe and presentable front entrance area by adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Ensures cleanliness of staff and meeting rooms.
  • Provides accounting support as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Community Manager.
Qualifications:
  • A strong desire to serve and care for seniors.
  • Previous reception and/or administrative experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Elementary bookkeeping skills and experience handling cash.
  • Organized, accurate, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of residents.
  • Clear Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Full proof of Immunization records.
  • This is a casual, on-call position.
