Job summary

The YMCA of Southwestern Ontario in Lucan, ON is hiring a Child Care Educator - RECE (Contract). You will plan and deliver a child-centered program for 0-6 year olds, following the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum.

The role offers a 7.5-hour day, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week), with shift rotation. Compensation up to $26 per hour for Ontario CECE registrants, plus benefits including YMCA membership, care program discounts, vacation entitlements, and paid personal days.

Qualifications

• Must be registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators, ON (CECE) or proof that registration is in process for new graduates of ECE.
• Valid Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification or schedule date within the next three months.
• Reliable transportation to attend work at this remote location.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old or older for a current Vulnerable Criminal Reference Check.
• Up-to-date immunizations required by Public Health, Ministry of Education and YMCASWO.
• Ability to lift up to 20 kg (44 lbs.), bending and stooping.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
