Job summary

YMCA of Southwestern Ontario is hiring for multiple Middlesex locations for School Age Educators & Site Supervisors in licensed programs. Location: Middlesex, ON; Start: August 24, 2026 – June 24, 2027.

Compensation is up to $27.00/hour for RECEs and up to $22.00/hour for non‑members, with government wage enhancements. Benefits include a complimentary YMCA health & fitness membership, program discounts, vacation, personal days, wellness services, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

Experience working with children ages 4–12.
Current enrollment in, or completion of, Early Childhood Education.
RECE candidates must be registered (or in the process of registering) with the College of Early Childhood Educators and be in good standing.
Candidates from related disciplines must maintain membership with their professional associations where applicable.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, child-centered programs for children ages 4–12.
Provide safe, quality care and support to children and families.
Maintain supervision and ensure child safety at all times.
Follow YMCA policies, municipal regulations, and CCEYA requirements.
Foster inclusive, welcoming environments where every child feels they belong.
Demonstrate YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Inclusivity.
