Job summary

YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce invites applications for an Educator RECE (School Age). This part-time, permanent role offers 18–28 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with a wage of $27.17–$30.47 per hour plus additional allowances. Start date: as soon as possible.

The YMCA emphasizes safety, learning, and supportive family engagement within its child care program. Ideal candidates hold an Early Childhood Educator designation and are prepared for background checks, references, and CLB expectations.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Have current Standard First Aid, CPR-C, & AED certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities based on approved curricula and maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Ensure compliance with vaccination, immunization, and background check requirements.
• Administer medications per guidelines.
• Observe and communicate child development and progress to families and supervisors.
• Promote teamwork and support other staff while following YMCA policies and procedures.
