Job summary

smartTrade Technologies, Toronto, is seeking a Support Analyst to help clients and internal teams succeed with the TTS - Interbank Forex Platform. You will diagnose complex data system issues, provide architectural insights, and resolve technical and workflow challenges for a banking client base.

Requirements include college diploma and 2–3 years in tech or banking vendor environments, SQL, Unix scripting, and English communication.

Qualifications

• Completion of a college program or diploma.
• Minimum 2-3 years technology experience or in a vendor company for banks.
• Able to understand and work with SQL, Unix Shell / Bash Scripting.
• Independent, proactive with minimal supervision.
• Experience with the FIX protocol and/or knowledge of Java (Spring/Hibernate) is a plus.
• Experience in electronic trading related projects is welcomed.
• Experience with Monitoring Tools such as Zabbix / Grafana / Graylog.
• Knowledge with Network Infrastructure.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Self-starter with strong work ethics and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audience.
• Good understanding of IT concepts: Java, TCP/IP, Linux/Unix.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying issues with underlying Forex Application
• Investigate and manage trading problems
• Monitoring the systems
• Address issues from missing trades to exchange connectivity problems to outages
• Proactively develop tactical and strategic solutions
• Assist with identification of software bugs and coordinate resolutions
• Perform regression testing of the full range of products and features
• Resolve technical problems during initial client communication
