Job summary

National Bank of Canada is seeking a Trader Support Specialist to be the primary operational contact for Front Office trading teams. You will support a broad range of products and work with trade management systems to ensure efficient processing and integrity of trades.

You will collaborate with Compliance, Operations, and Technology to resolve issues, manage adjustments, and maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced environment. This role is hybrid and requires strong financial market knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and capital markets.
• Experience with trade management systems (Bloomberg, Calypso, Murex, or similar).
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support to trading desks covering listed products, derivatives, private placements, and collateral activities.
• Process trade cancellations and corrections from institutional partners, including amendments to price, settlement date, fees, and other trade details.
• Manage transactional adjustments for NBF and NBCFI entities.
• Investigate and resolve operational issues related to trade processing and settlement.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Operations, Technology, and other partners to ensure accurate transaction processing.
