Job summary

MMI Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm in Winnipeg, Manitoba, seeks an Accounts Payable Clerk to manage the full AP cycle with accuracy and efficiency.

You will process invoices, code costs to properties and GL accounts, and handle payments while maintaining strong vendor relationships in a fast-paced environment. This role reports to the Controller and supports month-end activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
• Yardi experience is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, proper documentation and authorization.
• Enter and code invoices to correct properties, GL accounts, and cost centres.
• Prepare and process electronic payments, ACH payments, and cheque runs.
• Ensure timely payments and maintain vendor payment terms.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate vendor records and assist with month-end activities.
• Utilize Yardi and SmartAP to support AP operations.
• Collaborate with team members and support audits/improvement initiatives.
• Other duties as required.
