Job summary

GWL Realty Advisors is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to manage payable functions for a portfolio of multi-residential and mixed-use properties across Canada. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will contribute to our growing asset class with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.

The role requires at least 1 year of accounting experience; real estate or property management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year accounting experience.
• Real estate or property management experience would be an asset.
• Knowledge of Yardi Voyager or other real estate software with strong Excel capabilities.
• Collaborative team player who can work well with others to support continuous improvement and deliver value.
• Ability to communicate effectively and develop collaborative relationships across the organization.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Process utility, telecom, and property tax bills in the system and route for approval.
• Set up utility accounts for new properties.
• Close accounts for disposition properties with utility companies.
• Maintain tracking files to ensure timely receipt of bills.
• Investigate bill discrepancies and ensure correct payments.
• Collaborate with Treasury to fix unreconciled items and resolve issues.
