Job summary

CN is hiring an entry-level front line supervisor to lead day-to-day train operations and unionized crews, ensuring safe, compliant departures and timely service. The role may be on-call and involves overseeing a 24/7 operation within the territory.

Responsibilities include safety training, problem solving, and coordinating with the Transportation Manager to manage resources, costs, and performance while upholding CN's commitments to safety and service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and valid driver’s licence required.
• Certified Conductor or Locomotive Engineer is a plus.
• Degree in Business or Logistics preferred.
• Experience in safety-compliant operations is desired.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day train operations and crew management.
• Enforce safety rules and participate in investigations.
• Coordinate with supervisors and managers to meet service goals.
• Monitor performance and implement process improvements.
• Support incident response and emergency management.
• Maintain safety and service metrics across the territory.
