Job summary

Cando Rail & Terminals is seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day and shift-by-shift execution of the daily operation plan. You will drive a customer-focused environment while ensuring safety and efficiency with proactive leadership.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy industrial settings with 2+ years in a supervisory role; rail supervision is a plus. You will work with a team under a strong safety culture and benefit from training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or GED is required.
• Minimum 5 years heavy industrial experience; rail experience is asset.
• At least 2 years in leadership or supervisory role; rail supervision is asset.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems preferred.
• Class 5 driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day execution of the daily operation plan.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance in daily operations.
• Supervise workforce to meet operating needs and schedules.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, peers and third parties.
• Manage budgets, staffing and service plans as applicable.
